Description
SCAT Lab Safety GL45 preparative HPLC safety caps are hermetically sealing closures with connections specially designed for larger diameter tubing and higher flow rates in preparative HPLC applications. These safety caps feature a GL45 thread that fits on common laboratory bottles and come with PTFE and PFA fittings to provide secure capillary connections. The cap features a core that rotates 360° to allow for easier container changes without twisting the capillaries or causing tubes to tangle. They are available with 1, 2, or 3 connections and include PFA and/or PTFE fittings for each connection.
SCAT Lab safety caps are manufactured with chemical-resistant materials and a design that prevents contaminants from entering the HPLC system. Cap components ensure that capillaries and tubes remain tightly screwed in and cannot slip out of the solvent, preventing interruptions due to air pockets. Additionally, the closed system of the cap prevents individual components from evaporating, allowing solvent mixtures to remain stable with a consistent mixing ratio.
The SCAT Lab safety cap also features an air valve that ensures safe pressure equalization during HPLC operation. It contains a valve membrane that retains dust and dirt particles from the ambient air. This allows analysis results to remain unaltered and reproducible and provides clean separation without interfering with or overlapping peaks in the chromatogram.
