Description
The Purity One OneSUM Single Use Mixer is a customizable unit with a magnetically driven, levitating impeller that offers contactless mixing and blending of liquids, powders, and other materials critical for biopharmaceutical formulations. Its bottom mount design allows for mixing even when contents are low, such as during pump out or draw down processes. Mixing efficiency can be monitored and controlled through optional instrumentation that measure pH, conductivity, temperature, and weight. OneSUM is designed to integrate seamlessly with other single-use technologies, such as OneSil and OneFlex tubing, filters, and bags, facilitating end-to-end single-use workflows.
This system uses OneSUM single-use bags, which can be customized to meet the unique needs of an application. Purity One single-use bags are constructed with 12.8mil multilayer film and optimized for bioprocess production applications. The film is free of materials of animal origin. These bags come pre-sterilized to reduce contamination risks and ensure process reliability.
The OneSUM mixing system uses the power of the OnePump VersaFlow pump to allow filling, mixing, and monitoring functions to happen simultaneously. The VersaFlow pump is a unique instrument that allows multiple pump technologies to be used from a single control system. Eleven modular pump head options from Watson Marlow, Quattroflow, and Masterflex are available, enabling the pump to adapt to evolving application requirements.
Applications
- Dissolving powders, such as salts, sugars, or other ingredients into bioprocessing liquids
- Product formulation - Blending drug substances with excipients for final formulation
- Controlled mixing for viral inactivation during downstream processing
- Preparing and blending adjuvants, antigens, or stabilizers for vaccine production
- Buffer preparation - Mixing buffers for chromatography, filtration, or other downstream processes
- Mixing powdered or liquid media to create culture media for cell growth and upstream processing
