The em-tec BioProTT Clamp-On Transducer is designed to work with the BioProTT line of products to monitor flow rates in bioprocessing applications. The BioProTT Clamp-On Transducer uses the ultrasonic transit-time method and works non-invasively so that there is no direct contact with the medium, making it perfect for strict hygienic environments. It can be cleaned easily with alcohol-based surface cleaners and reused for multiple process runs. 

When combined with the BioProTT FlowTrack plus or a FlowMCP flow meter, the BioProTT Clamp-On Transducer provides reliable monitoring of volume flow rate within laboratory or industrial applications. The BioProTT Clamp-On Transducer is available for tube sizes with an outer dimension between 1/4 and 1 5/8in. The transducer is able to store up to seven calibration tables to create flexibility between applications.

Sensor accuracy is dependent on the outer dimension of the tube:

  • 1/4 to 3/4in OD: ±3% of reading ±20ml/min
  • 7/8in OD: ±3% of reading ±80ml/min
  • 1 to 1 1/8in OD: ±3% of reading ±200ml/min
  • 1 1/4 to 1 5/8in OD: ±3% of reading ±400ml/min
