Description
The CPC AseptiQuik STC Series Connector integrates the AseptiQuik sterile connector and the Steam-Thru II SIP connector, giving manufacturers even greater flexibility for hybrid stainless steel and single-use processing. In the flow position, the AseptiQuik STC series can withstand temperatures between 39° to 104°F and pressures up to 20psi (1.4 bar). In the steam position, the connector can withstand temperatures up to 275°F for 60 minutes and pressures up to 35psi (2.4 bar). The standard AseptiQuik STC series may be sterilized with gamma irradiation up to 50kGy and the high-temperature version is autoclavable up to 266°F.
The union of the AseptiQuik and Steam-Thru II SIP in a single unit through a sanitary clamp allows an AseptiQuik sterile connection to be steamed onto stainless equipment via SIP. After the SIP cycle, a wide range of single-use systems can be connected. The SIP process can be done in advance allowing a quick and easy sterile connection to the AseptiQuik half without waiting 30-60 minutes for SIP before harvest.
