Description
Eldon James male luer lock and nut assembly is designed for the medical and pharmaceutical industries with limited use or disposable applications where a shutoff valve is not required. The materials are available in their natural color or various additional colors for easy identification within the system. These luer fittings have connection sizes ranging between 1/16 to 1/4in and may be purchased in quantities of 25 (cleanroom option only) or 100 pieces per pack.
The Luer taper is a standardized system of small-scale fluid fittings used for making leak-free connections between a male-taper fitting and its mating female part on medical and laboratory instruments, including hypodermic syringe tips and needles or stopcocks and needles.
Eldon James products do not contain PVC or DEHP, eliminating the risk of leaching and dispersal of pollutants, dioxins, and other harmful chemicals into liquids and the air. Natural materials such as medical nylon, CrystalVu, and polypropylene are available to suit the chemical resistance needs of different applications.
- Nylon provides excellent tensile strength with moderate stiffness and high impact resistance that works well in medical and industrial applications.
- Polypropylene is a very versatile material and formulated for biomedical and bioprocess applications. It is radiation stable and is resistant to solvents, chemicals, water, and other inorganic environments.
- CrystalVu is a transparent polycarbonate alternative that will not deform at temperatures up to 356°F. It is autoclavable with enhanced characteristics compared to polycarbonate that includes: Superior chemical resistance, no crazing with multiple autoclave cycles, plus gamma and EtO sterilization compatibilities.
